Woodstock
So, there are these Charlie Brown statues all over Santa Rosa. If you've ever spent any time walking around downtown you've probably seen one. Each one is painted differently so, for example, if you're coming out of the Sonoma Outfitters on Third Street you'll pass by a rastafarian Charlie Brown. This year, fellow-Peanuts character Woodstock got the same treatment. My "Woodstocks" collection features photos of most of the birds in mid-development.

I think many cities have their own version of this... I know that Chicago has cows.
Nice. :)
Boston has the "Cavalcade of Cod." (This once led to a very long discussion with one of the painters about the importance of cod in Boston's early economy. And me reading this book.)
The San Francisco Hearts are another one. As in "I left my heart in San Francisco."
baltimore has crabs that were painted by schools and other various groups around the city.
Chicago has cows... surprising choice.
"Cavalcade of Cod"... that's pretty funny.
"Baltimore has crabs"... that's downright hilarious.
Makes me glad my family only lived in Baltimore for 4 months.
